UAC’s possible incorporation into Rostec being looked at

The issue of possible incorporation of the United Aircraft Companyr (UAC) into the state corporation Rostec is currently being looked at, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said on Sunday.

"The step is expedient but so far it is being discussed only," he said when asked whether it has already been finally decided to incorporate UAC into Rostec.

Earlier, Kommersant daily said citing its source that a draft presidential decree on UAC’s incorporation into Rostec had already been prepared.

"The decree is to be preceded by final decisions. To take a final decision, it is necessary to draft it. What matters most is motivation that might prompt to this decision," the minister said, adding that this decision could be motivated by the fact that Rostec has off-budget funds that might be used to finance the MC-21 project.
