Three flights of Su-30SM and Su-35S joins air units in Western MD

In accordance with the State Defence Order, air units of the Western MD located in Republic of Karelia, Leningrad and Kursk regions have received six Su-35S multi-purpose high-maneuver fighter jets and three Su-30SM.

The Su-35S has technical performances very similar to fifth-generation fighter jet: the aircraft is equipped with advanced information management system and plasma propulsion engine.

The Su-30SM is a high-maneuverable aircraft. It is equipped with phased array, steerable thruster and foreplane. A figther jet can use modern and advanced air-to-air and air-to-surface weapons.
