Russian airline Utair has introduced a new corporate identity. The logo is a slightly tilted right U. It will also be placed on the tail. The airline has shown off a Boeing 737-800 (VQ-BQS) in a new livery. The presentation was held at the Vnukovo airport with the participation of representatives of the airport, journalists and bloggers.
The new logo design, which features a lower-cased “t” in Utair, was developed by Friends Moscow agency. The cost of developing a logo and a new corporate identity cost the company 4 mln rubles.
Utair CEO Andrey Martirosov states that the change is an "expression of new strategy and priorities".
The rebranding of the livery will affect all the aircraft, and the firm colors - simple white and blue - will be preserved. Half of the fleet will be repainted this fall and winter, the other half - in the next fall-winter
Utair plans to rebrand the entire fleet before the end of 2018, as well as its website, mobile application and crew uniform.
The plan for the upgrade until 2025 assumes a complete renewal of the fleet, at the moment the company plans 5-7 new ships per year.
First, the air carrier intends to replace the fleet of Boeing 737-500 (they have 32) for a more capacious Boeing 737-800, but also considers other manufacturers.
Now the Utair fleet consists of 47 medium-haul Boeing 737s, three long-haul Boeing 767s and 14 regional ATR-72s.
In 2020, the company plans to increase the share of Utair in the segment of Russian transportation to 10% (now - 6.8%).
In January-September, the airline carried 5.5 mln passengers.
