The 2nd Guards Combined-Arms Army of the Central Military District stationed in the Volga region has been armed with three unmanned aerial vehicles of the new ‘Orlan-10’ format.
This is the latest modification of the unmanned aerial vehicle. It includes means of electronic warfare. Its main feature lies in the ability to detect interference transmitters and cellular jamming zones. It can work with 3G and 4G networks and is able to differentiate friend-or-foe means of transmitting information. Earlier, the troops received ‘Orlan-10’ drones, capable of conducting only aerial surveillance (reconnaissance) of the area.
Unmanned aerial vehicles are to be included in the upgraded RB-341B ‘Leer-3’ electronic warfare complex with the control point based on the ‘KamAZ-5350’ chassis.
