During the Combat Brotherhood-2017 CSTO strategic exercise, servicemen of the Ulyanovsk airborne formation prevented prevent simulated terrorists from crossing Tajik-Afghan border.
According to the exercise concept, the search group of Russian paratroopers is currently carrying out tasks in one of the mountain areas on the territory of the Moscovsky training ground.
In total, about 200 servicemen from the Russian Airborne Forces were involved in the combined operation to eliminate the simulated illegal armed formations in Tajikistan.
The Russian paratroopers use the ‘Arbalet’ special parachute system.
