About 40 aircraft of the Central MD have been redeployed from Russia to Tajikistan to take part in counter-terrorist exercise. Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization are participating in the exercise.

Six Su-24M have been redeployed from the Shagol airfield. Six Su-25SM aircraft have arrived in Tajikistan from the Kant airbase.

Mi-8AMTSh and Mi-24 helicopters have been transported by An-124-100 aircraft from the Tolmachevo airfield.

Flight crews are to cover ground forces, carry out strikes on simulated armed groups, and provide delivery of cargos.
