Russian EMERCOM jet carries out medevac of nine gravely ill children from Rostov-on-Don to Moscow

The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Ilyushin Il-76 airplane is carrying out a medevac of nine gravely ill children from Donetsk and Luhansk Regions of Ukraine from Rostov-on-Don to Moscow. Evacuation is being carried out in cooperation with Spravedlivaya Pomoshch Fund, established by Yelizaveta Glinka (Dr. Liza).

All patients are in need of urgent high-tech and highly qualified medical aid, unavailable in hospitals of Donbas.

The Emergencies Ministry’s flying hospital is rigged with modern equipment and special medical modules, breathing apparatuses and cardiomonitors that allow rendering aid during the flight.

Specialists from the Tsentrospas Team of the Emergencies Ministry, the Zashchita All-Russian Disaster Medicine Center of the Russian Health Ministry and a psychologists from the Emergencies Ministry’s Center for Emergency Psychological Aid will accompany the patients during the flight.

Upon arrival to Moscow, all the children will be delivered to specialized hospital for further high-tech and highly qualified medical treatment.
