Engineering staff of Western MD helicopter regiment has received eight Ka-52 helicopters.
Engineers will examine the received hardware, check performance capability of all systems, as well as technical manuals.
Later crews are to check performance capability of all systems, radioelectronic equipment and engine operation. The pilots will conduct control flight and transfer helicopters to their home station. The transferring will be conducted in two stages.
The Ka-52 is a new generation attack helicopter designed for destroying tanks, armored and light vehicles, troops and helicopters of the enemy both on front-line and in tactical depth in any environment and time of a day. The Ka-52 may provide reconnaissance, target distribution and designation to the command posts. The helicopter may provide fire cover to the assault landing.
