Russian Airborne formations are to take part in Cooperation 2017 CSTO exercise held in Armenia.

Units of Airborne troops located in Ulyanovsk and Ivanovo are to participate in practical stages of the exercise.

The Russian units will use unmanned aerial vehicles in reconnaissance operations. They will also conduct landing operations from helicopters as well as maneuvering actions on quad bikes and Rys’ special transport vehicles.

The Cooperation 2017 exercise is held in Armenia on October 9-13, 2017.
