Southern MD air defence units practised repelling a massive air strike at the Kapustin Yar range, Astrakhan region, in course of the exercise.

The troops fired Buk-M1, Osa, Strela, Shilka, and Igla air defence complexes.

Several targets were imitating modern aircraft. Special attention was paid to elimination of unmanned aerial vehicles.
