The Mi-8 AMTSh Terminator attack transport helicopters of the Southern MD airbase located in Rostov Oblast conducted missile strikes at armoured targets during the control exercises within the 2017 final examination.

During the flights, the helicopters successfully maneuvered taking evasive actions to avoid simulated hostile air defence systems and suppress simulated radars.

The helicopters went in couples to the designated area directed by CP and practised locating and identifying targets. After that they held live-fire exercise with missiles and guns.

The combat training tasks were performed at night using satellite navigation system, infrared equipment and night-vision devices.

In total, 20 crews were involved in the exercise.
