Airborne Special Forces seize ferry bridge during tactical exercise in Primorsky Krai

During one of the tactical episodes, the special forces of Ussuriysk Airborne formation seized a mock enemy ferry bridge and took control over bridgehead on the River Razdolnaya shore.

The mission was accomplished by special forces company jointly with assault-parachute units.

Having parachuted from Mi-8 helicopters near the river shore, the special forces groups subtly headed off to the ferry bridge and removed the security using noiseless weapons.

Having crossed the river using boats the reconnaissance detachment scouts set a smoke screen, made a lodgement and distracted the ferry security.

The main forces crossed the ferry bridge, removed the sentry and entered the combat security rear which was already engaged in combat with the reconnaissance group.

Having secured the ferry bridge the special forces transferred it to the assault-parachute company. Its troops secured the water obstacle crossing for the Airborne separate armour detachment in pursuit of retreating mock enemy units.

from 16 to 20 October. The drills are led by Deputy Commander of the Airborne troops Lieutenant General Andrei Holzakov.
