Pulkovo Airport sees 24% increase of passenger traffic for the 9 months of 2017

For the first 9 months of 2017, Pulkovo St. Petersburg Airport welcomed 12,609,960 passengers, a number 23.8% higher than in the same period of 2016.
Domestic passenger traffic grew by 19.5% to 7,652,755 passengers. International traffic increased by 31% and amounted to 4,957,205 passengers.
For January-September of 2017, Pulkovo airport handled 116,456 take-off and landing operations, which represents an increase of 17% year-on-year. The maximum take-off weight handled amounted to 4,114,208 tons, a figure 22.6% higher than in the same period of 2016.

In the first 9 months of 2017, Rossiya Airlines, Aeroflot, S7 Airlines, Ural Airlines, UTair were the largest Russian carriers in terms of passenger numbers at Pulkovo. In total, they provided services to 7,616,542 passengers at St. Petersburg airport, or 60.4% of the total traffic in this period.
Among foreign airlines, Lufthansa, Belavia, Uzbekistan Airways, KLM, and Turkish Airlines became the leaders at St. Petersburg airport for January-September 2017. In total, they served 940,218 passengers at Pulkovo during the 9-month period, or 7.5% of the total airport traffic.

In September 2017, Pulkovo St. Petersburg Airport provided services to 1,668,519 passengers, a number 20.5% higher than in the same period of 2016.
Domestic traffic increased by 15.1% to 929,203 passengers compared to September 2016. International traffic grew by 28% YOY, and amounted to 739,316 passengers.
In September 2017, Pulkovo airport handled 14,564 take-off and landing operations, which is an increase of 15.7% to the level of September 2016. The maximum take-off weight handled amounted to 534,713 tons, a figure 22.7% higher than in the same period of 2016.
