ENGINEERING Holding specialists met with a large number of perspective partners and discussed future joint projects at the sidelines of MRO Europe 2017 conference in London on October 3-5. Within the conference agenda ENGINEERING’s director for engine maintenance programs Nikita Babkin showcased the company’s successful cooperation with the global provider of engine maintenance, SR Technics.
“Our presentation sparked interest with the audience, and several subject-matter questions were asked afterall. By the nature of these questions it was evidence that the model of local engine maintenance facility is new for many industry specialists. It came as a surprise for them that even complex operations on engine hot section can be done in limited time as local repairs,” Nikita Babkin shares. “The audience was also interested to know how the capabilities of SR Technics and S7 Engineering (part of ENGINEERING Holding, which launched CFM56-5/7 engine workshop in 2016) complement each other. SR Technics takes care of more serious cases, when the nature of damages doesn’t allow for repairs within S7 Engineering facility.”
In their joint presentation SR Technics and ENGINEERING Holding shared their assessment of efficiency benefits available to airline customers, when their CFM56-5/7 engines receive necessary maintenance at S7 Engineering’s Moscow facility, including short terms and technologies used by the Russian provider. The partners announced plans to expand their production capabilities by opening another facility at S7 Engineering’s base in Mineralnye Vody, making engine maintenance services more readily available for airlines in Russia and the CIS region.
So far S7 Engineering’s Moscow facility is the only CFM56-5/7 engine maintenance organization in Russia and CIS. Since its launch in the spring of 2016 Russia’s leading operators of Airbus A320 and Boeing 737NG, the country’s top-5 largest passenger airlines, have resorted to its services.
“We always get interesting contacts at industry events like MRO Europe. Some companies are looking for provider with competitive offer, some need to upgrade their maintenance staff qualification for a certain type of aircraft or find a reliable partner for aircraft painting. ENGINEERING Holding possesses all of these capabilities so for us any convention results in a large number of new contacts and offers from European partners. There’s no doubt that some of these new ideas and offers, which appeared at MRO Europe 2017 will transform into joint projects in the future,” Darya Polyakova, ENGINEERING’s Head of public relations group sums up.
