Pilots of the Baltic Fleet naval aviation practice operating Su-30SM newest multipurpose fighters

Pilots of the Baltic Fleet naval aviation at the Chernyakhovsk (Kaliningrad region) started operating Su-30SM newest multipurpose fighters. The aviation hardware was introduced in December 2016.

Flights are carried out under the leadership of experienced instructors, who had arrived in the Kaliningrad region from the Irkutsk aviation plant.

Moreover, another group of flight and engineer staff has been passing the retraining course in the Lipetsk aviation training centre in order to operate the newest fighters.

In 2017, the Baltic Fleet naval aviation is to receive another aircraft of this type.
