In course of combat training, a group of MiG-31 fighters of the Pacific Fleet naval aviation conducted an air combat at supersonic speeds and intercepted the assigned air target in the sky over Kamchatka.

The pilots took off, detected the state border breaching aircraft and attacked the simulated enemy. 

Moreover, the crews practiced piloting in pairs and in close combat formation.
