Troops of the Western military district will receive more than 1,500 items of newest armament and military hardware.
In particular, Air Force and Air Defence formation will receive Su-35 and Su-30SM fighters; front and army aviation – Su-34, Ka-52, Mi-28UB, and Ka-27 aircraft.
Moreover, motorized rifle, artillery and tank units will receive T-72B3 tanks and Tornado-G multiple launch rocket systems.
The first batches of the hardware will be introduced in late January.
