Today a large-scale dynamic demonstration of military hardware will take place at the International military and technical forum “Army-2016”.
According to the Chief of the Main Directorate for scientific research of the Russian Defence Ministry Alexander Mironov, 75 foreign delegations will observe the performance at the Alabino range in the Moscow Region.
Famous aerobatic teams “Russian Knights”, “Strizhi”, “Berkuty”, “Sokoly Rossii” will show their programmes; the specialists will also see the underwater manned vehicle ARS-600.
This year 13 foreign states, which present the production of 58 military enterprises and corporations, take part in the Forum. Among them – companies from Germany, India, Israel, Ireland, China, Malaysia, Thailand, France, Switzerland.
The scientific and business programme includes over 100 events, 26 of them will be held today. The main one is the round-table discussion “Russia in the changing world: challenges, dangers and threats” organized by the Military academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.
About 12 thousand experts will take part in the scientific and business programme. Besides that large state contracts are to be signed today.
Representatives of over 80 countries are working at different grounds of the Forum, a half of them – within official delegations.
The total number of guests within the military delegations has exceeded 250.
