The Moscow Commercial Court will begin hearing of a lawsuit filed by Aeroflot demanding recovery of 6.14 billion rubles ($94 million) from the Orenburg Airlines (JSC Orenair) on October 19, according to court records.

On August 31, the court collected 2.1 billion rubles ($33.8 mln) from the Orenburg Airlines in another claim lodged by Aeroflot. Aeroflot demanded to recover 1.9 billion rubles ($29.2 million) of main debt as well as accumulated interest. Debt should’ve been returned in May 2016, but defendant failed to meet its obligations.

In June, the Federal Agency of Air Transport (Rosaviation) annulled certificate of the Orenburg Airlines, which is a part of the Aeroflot group, because of merger with Rossiya Airlianes.

A part of Aeroflot corporate group, Rossiya Airlines, was set up as a successor of three regional air carriers including Rossiya, Donavia and the Orenburg Airlines.
