Servicemen of the Central MD missile regiment, which had received S-400 Triumph air defence missile systems last year, carried out combat missile launches in course of joint exercise held by the Air Force and air defence troops at the Telemba range.

Air defence units of the Central MD engaged the Kaban high-speed targets, which were moving at the speed of 1,200 meters per second at the altitude of 45 km, by 6 missiles.

Earlier, the divisions of the regiment had been projected from the Novosibirsk Region to the exercise area. About 300 servicemen and more than 80 pieces of armament and military hardware were involved in the exercise.
