More than 20 crews of tactic aviation of the Western MD carried out bomb strikes engaging ground targets of the simulated enemy at the Pogonovo range (Voronezh Region)

Covered by MiG-29SMT fighters pilots of Su-34 fighter-bombers took off from the Buturlinovka airfield (Voronezh Region) and engaged targets, which imitated fortifications, tank columns, aircraft at airfields and command centres of the enemy, with FAB-250 and FAB-500 bombs.

Pilots also practiced avoiding attacks of enemy’s air defence systems, which had been simulated by S-300 air defence missile complexes. 

In total, pilots performed more than 50 takeoffs at day- and nighttime.
