The joint Russian-Mongolian military exercise “Selenga-2016” will involve attack, bomber and army aviation of the Eastern MD. In total 10 aircraft of different purpose will participate in the training activities.
In particular, Mi-24 helicopters will provide air support for ground units in the course of the active stage of the exercise while Mi-8 helicopters will transport tactical landing groups.
Su-25 Grach attackers will use unguided rockets against group targets, Su-24M2 tactical bombers will attack simulated enemy armoured hardware.
Before the active stage the pilots will participate in joint preliminary trainings.
