Rescuers start deploying temporary settlements for deer-breeders in Yamal

Rescuers of the Emergencies Ministry have started to deploy eight temporary shelters for the population evacuated from remote areas due to anthrax outbreak.

All delivered tents, linen, stoves and foodstuffs, delivered by the Ilyushin Il-76 plane and the Mil Mi-26 helicopter of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia, are currently transported to the settlement of Yar-Sale. All property is being transported by the Mil Mi-8 and Mi-26 helicopters of the Emergencies Ministry transport to tundra, where the temporary settlements, capable of accommodating of more than 200 people, are being deployed by the rescuers from the Leader Center for High Risk Rescue Operations and the Ural Training and Rescue Center of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia under command of the Director of the Department for Fire and Rescue Forces and Special Units of the Emergencies Ministry Aleksandr Agafonov.

Deer-breeders are being evacuated from the area of outbreak through special corridors. They will be provided in everything necessary in the temporary settlements: water, food, medical and psychological aid.
