In January-July 2016, the passenger flow of UTair Aviation grew by 13.8% year-on-year to 3.569 million, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency informed.
The passenger turnover decreased by 0.8% to 5.842 billion passenger-kilometers. The passenger load factor decreased by 1.9 p.p. to 69.8%.
Cargo and mail handling increased by 61.4% to 14.777 thousand tonnes, the cargo turnover by 90% to 31.501 million tonne-kilometers.
UTair Aviation (tax number: 7204002873) is the core company of UTair Group comprising both operators of aircraft (airplanes and helicopters) and companies providing maintenance and repair, personnel training, catering, ticket sales services).
Being one of Russia's major air carriers, the company provides passenger transportation services both domestically and internationally. UTair operates Boeing 737-500, Boeing 737-400, Boeing 767-200, Boeing 737-800, ATR 72-500 airliners. The total company's total fleet exceeds 60 aircraft flying to 150, including 70 unique air routes.
In the first half of 2016, the passenger throughput of UTair increased by 14.3% year-on-year to 2.824 million.
IFRS net profit of UTair Aviation Group for 2015 was RUB 2.274 billion against a loss of RUB 61.659 billion the year before. Revenue decreased by 8.15% to RUB 70.347 billion from RUB 76.59 billion, profit from operations was RUB 5.035 billion against a loss of RUB 10.853 billion in 2014, pre-tax profit amounted to RUB 7.975 billion against a loss of RUB 64.225 billion.
According to AK&M Information Agency's DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net loss of UTair for H1 2016 decreased by 45.9% to RUB 1.896 billion from RUB 3.505 billion for the same period in 2015. Revenue increased by 7.83% to RUB 23.703 billion from RUB 21.981 billion, sales loss by 36.05% to RUB 1.135 billion from RUB 834.247 million, loss before tax decreased by 43.99% to RUB 2.618 billion from RUB 4.673 billion.
