RAS net profit of International airport Nizhny Novgorod PSC for H1 2016 increased 2.01 times to RUB 68.999 million from RUB 34.385 million for the same period in 2015, the company reported.

Revenue decreased by 10.86% to RUB 337.956 million from RUB 379.128 million, sales loss was RUB 80.899 million against a profit of RUB 65.897 million the year before, pre-tax profit grew 2.02 times to RUB 88.011 million from RUB 43.615 million.

International airport Nizhny Novgorod Public Stock Company (IANN / Strigino, tax number: 5256045754) serves international and domestic flights being the principal alternate airport for the Moscow air hub. At the initiative of Nizhny Novgorod region's government supported by the federal authorities and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, an open competition was arranged in February 2011 to pick a potential investor for the international airport Nizhny Novgorod, which Koltsovo Airport Public Stock Company was declared to have won.

The stage-by-stage reconstruction program for the airport complex which will be implemented with the new shareholder is laid out for 10 years from 2011 to 2021. Amount of investments will reach about RUB 2.7 billion. 

The international airport Nizhny Novgorod is allowed to accept more than 40 types of aircraft produced both in Russia and abroad. Among them are: Airbus (five types), Boeing (five types), Embraer (three types), ATR, Fokker, CRJ, Saab (two types each), IL (seven types), TU (four types), AN (six types), Yak (two types), all types of helicopters and most common types of business aircraft.

In 2015, the passenger flow at Nizhny Novgorod airport decreased by 16% year-on-year to 946,334 passengers. 

According to AK&M Information Agency's DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net profit of the airpot for 2015 decreased by 47.05% to RUB 161.727 million from RUB 305.417 million the year before. Revenue decreased by 9.97% to RUB 828.979 million from RUB 920.823 million, sales profit by 38.93% to RUB 160.762 million from RUB 263.232 million, pre-tax profit by 45.06% to RUB 211.037 million from RUB 384.089 million.
