Russia’s VIM Avia to add A330 to fleet

Russia’s VIM Avia will add Airbus A330 aircraft to its fleet, with the first one to arrive at the end of August, the airline said in a statement. Its reported by ATWonline.

The Moscow Domodedovo-based carrier did not disclose the lessor, as well as the number of A330 it plans to operate.

Earlier this year, VIM Avia took delivery of Boeing 777, 767 and 737-500 aircraft. The carrier’s original fleet consisted of Boeing 757; it received the first Airbus A319 in 2014.

The airline operates domestic and international flights. In 1H 2016, it carried 753,630 passengers, up 9.7% year-over-year.
