In July 2016, the passenger flow at Vnukovo airport decreased by 18.9% to 1.593 million from 1.965 million in July 2015, the company's press service informed.
The passenger flow on domestic air routes was 1.184 million, the number of international passengers was 409 thousand. Last month, the airport served 14,625 flights.
In July, the airport processed 3,922 tonnes of cargoes and mail (+6.2% year-on-year).
The most popular domestic destinations were Sochi, Simferopol, Anapa, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Makhachkala and Rostov-on-Don.
The airport added a number of new destinations to its international route network: Sanya (China), Hйvнz, Phuket and Punta Cana. The number of flights to the Mediterranean countries, as well as to Iran, Azerbaijan and Central Asia increased.
JSC International Airport Vnukovo (tax number: 7710404473) is one of the largest air transportation complexes of Russia annually handling more than 150,000 flights of Russian and foreign airline companies. The flight geography covers the whole of Russia as well as the CIS countries, Western Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. Russia's Federal Agency for State Property Management holds 74.74% of Vnukovo shares.
In 2015, Vnukovo airport increased passenger throughput by 25% year-on-year to 15.8 million.
According to the DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net loss of JSC International Airport Vnukovo for 2015 increased 78.59 times to RUB 107.278 million from RUB 1.365 million the year before. Revenue decreased by 1.01% to RUB 889.321 million from RUB 898.35 million, sales loss was RUB 18.809 million against a profit of RUB 59.185 million in 2014, loss before tax amounted to RUB 99.372 million against a profit of RUB 4.046 million.
