Ka-52 Alligator helicopters prevented simulated enemy’s breakthrough during a training combat at a range in the Amur Region

The first stage of the bilateral command-and-staff exercise held among combined-arms formations and units located in the Amur Region and the Zabaykalsky Krai prevented simulated enemy’s breakthrough during a training combat.

Reinforced motorized rifle company played the role of the simulated aggressor.

In the crucial moment, for the first time the commander of a motorized rifle company used the right to call air support of the army aviation in favour of the unit in the defensive. Two Ka-52 helicopters were involved in the combat.

The large-scale bilateral command-and-staff exercise is held under the leadership of the Eastern MD Commander Colonel General Sergei Surovikin on August 16-20.
