Russia’s flagship air carrier Aeroflot is mulling over conceding its rights to purchase twenty-two Boeing 787 Dreamliners to another carrier, according to a company statement.

Aeroflot’s Board of Directors plans to look into the issue at its upcoming August 25 meeting.

It still remains unclear from the statement, as to which company Aeroflot may transfer its rights.

Previously, it was reported that Aeroflot had intended to postpone its order for the Dreamliner until 2017 at the earliest. Aeroflot CEO Vitaly Savelyev said that the postponement was due to the fact that civil aviation had been facing a stagnating market.

In 2015, he stated that the company wanted to scrap buying the Dreamliner aircraft because Boeing failed to fulfill it on time, as the crisis had rendered the new aircraft unnecessary.
