Russia’s Pobeda Airline to double Saint Petersburg network

Aeroflot low-cost subsidiary (LCC) Pobeda Airlines plans to double its network at Saint Petersburg’s Pulkovo International Airport for the 2016/2017 winter schedule, ATWonline reported.

The Moscow Vnukovo-based LCC has announced it will begin 2X-weekly Volgograd and Vladikavkaz Boeing 737-800 service from Nov. 1, and weekly Saint Petersburg-Nalchik service from Nov. 3.

Pobeda currently operates 4X-weekly Saint Petersburg-Makhachkala 737-800 service, daily Saint Petersburg-Yekaterinburg service, and 2X-weekly Saint Petersburg-Kirov service. 

Since launching flights from Saint Petersburg on Oct. 23, 2015, Pobeda has operated more than 1,000 flights and carried up to 170,000 passengers from Pulkovo, according to a company statement.

The Aeroflot subsidiary, which was launched in December 2014, operates domestic andinternational flights. Pobeda’s fleet includes 12 Boeing 737-800s and carried 1.99 million passengers in 1H 2016, up 80.7% year-over-year.
