Rocket & Space Corporation Energia starts to manufacture a static mockup of the Advanced Upper Stage of the DM type which will be used with a family of the Angara launch vehicles. The Corporation Management approved the submitted by the specialists detailed plan for the project implementation.

The candidate for the Chief Engineer of the Project has been nominated, the responsible for the plan implementation from all the industry enterprises involved in the development and manufacture of the static mockup of the DM-type Advanced Upper Stage have been identified.

Head of the Production System Development Department of ZAO ZEM RSC Energia Ludmila Tatarova said:We have presented a detailed plan for execution of the project with work breakdown by stages between all the performers including representatives of other industry enterprises. In the plan there is work of RSC Energia and FSUE Khrunichev, JSC Krasmash and FSUE TsNIImash. The work is assigned for every day till the time for the mockup transportation to conduct tests and preparation for them. 
 
The new upper stage is the first product of RSC Energia during the development of which the methodology and tools of the ROSCOSMOS production system are used. In perspective it is planned to transfer this experience to other projects of the Corporation (spacecraft, orbital station modules and unmanned spacecraft). It is expected that this procedure will allow to reduce the time and financial costs significantly when developing products.
