The own investment of Domodedovo International Airport Corporation in the construction of a new segment of the passenger terminal will exceed RUB 32 billion, the company's press service informed referring to information provided during the presentation for the media of the new T2 passenger terminal segment conducted on June 29.
The construction is progressing according to the approved schedule, with more than 1.6 thousand people engaged, 30 building machines & equipment and 7 tower cranes used on the construction site. The construction and assembly works are financed in the amount of RUB 27 billion; the total estimated cost of the project (including the investment in technical infrastructure) is RUB 32.3 billion. The project is expected to be commissioned in Q1 of 2018. Total throughput of the airport passenger terminal (T1+T2) will exceed 45 million passengers per year.
Domodedovo International Airport Corporation (tax number: 5009026330) is the largest airport of Russia accounting for 46% of the total air passenger traffic in Moscow. It operates flights of 83 airlines to 239 destinations worldwide, among them 84 unique destinations for Moscow and Moscow region. The airport maintains partnership with 40 airlines from outside the FSU, 27 Russian and 16 CIS airlines.
In the first quarter of 2016, Domodedovo increased the passenger throughput by 0.2% year-on-year to 5.7 million.
According to AK&M Information Agency's DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net profit of Domodedovo International Airport Corporation for 2015 decreased 9.4 times to RUB 53.169 million from RUB 499.868 million the year before. Revenue decreased 9.38 times to RUB 465.801 million from RUB 4.37 billion, sales profit of 54.6 times to RUB 5.026 million from RUB 274.4 million, pre-tax profit 9.46 times to RUB 52.362 million from RUB 495.434 million.
