The Russian operators of An-124 "Ruslan" want to organize the maintenance of the courts to bypass the Ukrainian developer of the Antonov company, "Kommersant" reported.

Operators of GK Volga-Dnepr and the Russian air force propose to carry out maintenance of aircraft An-124 in Russian JSC "Aviation complex named Ilyushin" (part of state of the United aircraft Corporation, KLA) – is the Ukrainian state concern "Antonov" (Ukroboronprom).

Despite the fact that the flight resource of the An-124 is 50 thousand, 10 thousand flights and 45 calendar years, the extension of the resource should be produced more often — every 4 thousand flight hours.

Under the terms of the holder of the type certificate and is responsible for the type design of the aircraft "Antonov", the operator can conduct only periodic maintenance, and all the severe forms — the only Ukrainian manufacturer with the participation of the Ulyanovsk "Aviastar-SP" (carries out the maintenance and repair of the An-124, released at the Ulyanovsk factory).

As stated by the sources, only Antonov owns methodology of inspection of the aircraft and complete documentation. And if you make the Russians change the "Antonov" will have the right to intervene in the operation of these courts outside of the Russian Federation.
