In the first half of 2016, the passenger throughput of Rossiya airlines grew by 26% year-on-year to 2.958 million, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency informed.
The passenger turnover increased by 33.7% to 5.871 billion passenger-kilometers. The passenger load factor grew by 5.5 p.p. to 77.3%.
Cargo and mail handling grew by 23.1% to 5,660 tonnes, the cargo turnover by 47.2% to 16.475 million tonne-kilometers.
Rossiya airlines JSC (tax number: 7810814522) based in St. Petersburg accounts for about 40% of all air conveyance operations from the Pulkovo airport. Since 2011, Rossiya Airlines has been part of the Aeroflot group of companies. The company's fleet comprises An-148, A319/A320, Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
The principal beneficiaries of Rossiya airlines are: PJSC Aeroflot (75% less 1 share) and the government of St. Petersburg (25% plus 1 share).
In January-May 2016, the passenger throughput of Rossiya airlines increased by 10.5% year-on-year to 2.072 million.
According to AK&M Information Agency's DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net profit of Rossiya airlines JSC for 2014 decreased by 40.23% to RUB 320.249 million from RUB 535.809 million in 2013. Revenue increased by 13.34% to RUB 35.844 billion from RUB 31.626 billion, sales profit decreased by 45.26% to RUB 174.648 million from RUB 319.066 million, pre-tax profit by 40.23% to RUB 442.788 million from RUB 740.872 million.
