Air defence units of the Land Forces will demonstrate their capabilities at the opening ceremony of the “Clear sky” international contest

Opening ceremony of the “Clear sky” international contest will be held at the Yeysky range (Krasnodar Krai) on August 1 in course of the International Army Games 2016.

Guests and military servicemen from China, Venezuela, Egypt, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Serbia will see a demonstration combat against simulated enemy with the use of modern air defence armament and military hardware of the Russian Armed Forces.  

Russian military servicemen will demonstrate their skills in engaging different aerial targets with Igla, Strela-10, Tunguska, and ZU-23 air defence systems.

Moreover, visitors and participants will also see modern samples of the Russian armament, including Osa, Tor-MU, Strela-10, and Shilka air defence systems.

More than 150 servicemen from 7 countries will participate in the contest, which is held until August 11.
