Within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute named after professor N.E.Zhukovsky (TsAGI, a member of National research center “Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky”) and the China Aviation Industry Corporation HONGDU, a team of Chinese experts visited TsAGI.

At the Chinese request TsAGI has been carrying out aerodynamic research of a baseline executive aircraft. To date TsAGI specialists have designed an expandable model wing.

“We have accepted the design and we are absolutely satisfied with the result,” noted the chief delegate of HONGDU, Deputy Chief Designer Mr. Jingzhong Ma.

The tests of the expandable scaled model wing for the executive aircraft will start at the end of 2016 in one of TsAGI’s wind tunnels. The plan is to have the work completed by next spring.
