Yamal Airlines, the Russian regional airline, began its sixth route to St. Petersburg (LED) this week, with a thrice-weekly service from Ufa (UFA).
Started on 18 July, the 50-seat CRJ 200-operated flights join the airline’s existing services from the airport to Ekaterinburg, Tivat, Moscow Domodedovo, Tyumen and Simferopol.
Aeroflot’s double-daily services provide the competition on the 1,637-kilometre sector. According to OAG schedules data for the week commencing 19 July, Yamal is the seventh largest operator at St. Petersburg in terms of weekly seats.
