Crews of ASW aircraft from the Pacific Fleet naval aviation airbase have successfully practiced tactical maneuvers aimed at searching and tracking of simulated enemy submarines using radar and hydroacoustic means of submarine detection.
The training flights took place at the sea ranges of the Pacific Fleet.
Commanders of IL-38 ASW aircraft also performed check flights for permission to fly under simple and difficult weather conditions, at day and night time.
One of the most difficult elements was instrument landing as well as landing with engine failure.
