Rostec negotiates supply of Ansat and Ka-226 civil air ambulance helicopters to Iran. This was stated by Victor Kladov, Director for International Cooperation and Regional Policy Department of the State Corporation.

“The Red Crescent Society of Iran is in need of medical and air ambulance helicopters. The supply terms are being negotiated,” Victor Kladov told reporters at the Innoprom-2016 international industry fair in Ekaterinburg.

He stressed that the deliveries depend on Iran’s financial capabilities, Interfax reports.

Victor Kladov added that the possibility of creating a service facility in Iran, which will repair Soviet- and Russian-manufactured machines, was also being discussed.

He stated that Russian Helicopters also planned to open service facilities in India and China.

"India and China are big countries. Negotiations for opening such facilities are in progress. The time has come to create a global repair and servicing system. And it is under way," Kladov remarked.

According to Kladov, agreements for establishing service facilities have been signed in a total of 23 countries, some of which will be joint ventures.
