The airspace over the region of the Sea of Marmara in the north-western part of Turkey is closed for civil aviation until 17:05 GMT, Anadolu reported citing the Turkish aviation authorities.
According to the news agency, an exception will be made for the government's aircraft, as well as for the aircraft of medical and fire services.
On Friday, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said that a group of servicemen attempted a military coup d'etat in the country. Later, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he was in the hotel, however it had been shelled soon after his departure.
