Pilots of the Western MD army aviation bases located in the Leningrad and Smolensk Regions have doubled night flight intensity using night sights and infrared forward visibility stations with turned off illumination devices and external identification signals. 

The special attention is paid to terrain recognition, spatial awareness and search of unequipped landing sites.

Each pilot is to spend no less than 120 hours in air.
