Today, during the visit to the Monino garrison, the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation ordered to build up a concept of developing the Museum of Air Force.
According to General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, this concept is to include not only replenishment of funds and expositions, but also preservation and recovery of historical exhibits.
Along with that the Head of the military department stressed that most exhibits of the Museum have historical value for the whole world.
Sergei Shoigu stressed that it was necessary to recover the exterior of aircraft but also their mechanisms the way they has been produced.
Demonstrativeness and accessibility of expositions not only for people fond of aviation but also for everybody else are to be included in the concept. This demands pavilions and hangars fitted with advanced equipment and multimedia means.
“Museums must be open not only for specialists but for everybody who is fond of aviation. There are thousands and millions of citizens,” said the Defence Minister.
