On June 2nd 2016 during the Sheremetyevo International Airport board meeting Alexander Ponomarenko was elected as the new Chairman of Board of Directors.

Alexander Ponomarenko has a more than 15 years of experience in managing executive boards in different joint-stock companies with their business in logistics, construction and finance, such as Joint Stock Investment and Savings Commercial Bank INVESTSBERBANK, OJSC
Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (LSE: NCSP, MOEX: NMTP) and it’s affiliated companies, as well as JSC TPS Real Estate.

Alexander Ponomarenko is a Doctor of Science with degree in Economics.

“By 2018 Sheremetyevo International Airport is to accomplish major modernization goals related to construction of a new passenger terminal, subterranean terminal-to-terminal tunnel and third runway. All these developments will raise the annual passenger traffic flow up to 58 million and will create new business opportunities for airline carriers and will also help provide an even higher passenger and customer service quality at Sheremetyevo International Airport. All these goals are only achievable through operating and business processes optimization, with investing into infrastructural objects, integration of the most technologically advanced solutions and developing overall effectiveness of airport management. That is exactly what I see as a main Board of Directors’ objective in the timeframe of next two years”, — Mr. Alexander Ponomarenko mentioned.
