Forces involved into Indra-2016 Russian-Indian exercise are determined

The second stage of consultations on planning of Indra-2016 joint Russian-Indian military exercise was finished in New Delhi, the capital of the Republic of India.

At the second planning conference, representatives of the Eastern MD and the Armed Forces of India came to an agreement that motorized rifle, tank units, multiple launch rocket system battery, flamethrower squad and medical platoon from the Russian side will be involved into the exercise.

A control unit and 2 tactic company groups from the Indian side will take part in the exercise.

Moreover, Ka-52, Mi-8 AMTSh attack helicopters, Su-25SM attack aircraft will be involved into the exercise.

This year, Indra-2016 Russian-Indian counter-terrorist exercise will be held at the Sergeyevsky range (Primorsky Krai) on August 22-September1. About 500 servicemen from both sides will be involved there.
