Aeroflot Celebrates Little Passenger Day At Sheremetyevo

Aeroflot has held a string of events aimed at kids to commemorate International Children’s Day. The Russian flagship carrier’s youngest passengers took part in the special events.

Little Passenger’s Day - the highlight of the festive events – was launched in cooperation with Sheremetyevo International Airport, Aeroflot’s base airport. On 1 June, when Children’s Day is universally celebrated, Terminal D was nicely decorated. Balloon arches along with welcome banners adorned the entrances to domestic and international departure zones.

Dedicated check-in desks were open for passengers with children in both zones. Thus, the check-in process resulted less tiresome for the young travelers. Clowns performing tricks and amusing little ones didn’t leave any chance to boredom.

Mascot character named Foxflot provided animation for kids. The big furry fox cub was designed for Aeroflot’s children magazine. His mission is to introduce a little passenger to the world of air travelling. Aeroflot’s fox cub was featured on carton figures providing backdrop for photo taking for all those interested. A local photo studio with an instant photo opportunity as well as a face-painting facility were set up in the check-in zone. Each young client of the airline received a souvenir: “young passenger” badges were available from baskets on the counters.

Aeroflot has always regarded children as a very special category of passengers not only full-fledged, but also requiring extra care and attention. In 2013 Aeroflot was named among the three most child-friendly leading airlines (according to eva.ru and aviasales.ru). In 2015 Aeroflot children amenity kit for kids aged 6 to 11 was awarded by annual international Travel Plus Airline Amenity Bag Awards.
