Demonstrative exercise of the Northern Fleet started for attendees of the Military Academy of the General Staff in the Barents Sea

Today, combined forces of the Northern Fleet came out in the Barents Sea to take part in the demonstrative exercise, which will be held in course of annual practical actions with attendees of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Federation.

Attendees of the Academy will be able to observe the Northern Fleet practical measures in the sea, which will consist of 4 main parts (providing security of fleet striking force district, searching and eliminating of simulated enemy submarine, organizaing the Fleet forces air defence with repelling of simulated enemy aerial attack means and rescuing ship crew sinking in the sea).

In total, 10 warships and support vessels as well as aircraft and helicopters of the Northern Fleet Armed Forces and Air Defence army were involved in training.
