Obninsk Romashin Technologiya RPE, which is part of the RT Chemical Composite holding, is now a part of the top 10 leading European innovation companies specializing in space technologies. This rating was formed following the results of Thomson Reuters’s annual research.

The rating was put together after analyzing intellectual property data from all over the world, including patents and scientific publications. According to industry experts, these key indicators serve as the main indicators of innovative activities.

Technologiya made its way into the top 10 European innovators in the space technologies field along with four other Russian companies. The rating also includes four French and one German company.

“This is an objective recognition of Technologiya’s operations. The company has a powerful scientific component and a unique mechanism for the maximal operative implementation of their research results into serial products, which is a competitive advantage that lays at the base of any successful company. This particularly short cycle of ‘design—implementation’ has allowed Technologiya to be the flag carrier of knowledge-intensive aerospace production for fifty consecutive years,” Kirill Shubsky, CEO of RT Chemical Composite, mentioned.

According to the holding’s press report, at present Obninsk Technologiya RPE produces more than 400 products for the aviation and space industries. The company has formulated its own school of thought and registers more than two dozen patents as a result of its intellectual activity annually. The share of innovation products in the company is 89%.
