S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global aviation alliance®, will be the first Russian airline, which will have new modern Airbus A320neo family aircrafts in its fleet.

S7 Airlines signed an agreement for delivery of three Airbus A321neo aircrafts. Lease agreement is signed with the leasing company Air Lease Corporation (ALC). Also the airline is planning to receive two Airbus A320neo aircrafts, in respect of these liners the airline executed a letter of intent with the leasing company.

S7 Airlines will receive first liners already in spring 2017. Liners will have two-class configuration. A320 liners have eight business class seats and 156 economy class seats. A321 liners have eight business class seats and 195 economy class seats.

Airbus A320 family aircrafts are the basis of the airline’s fleet. A320neo model suggests more advantages, it provides for reduction of fuel consumption and increase of range, moreover for passengers there are such advantages as comfortable cabins and the lowest noise level among the aircrafts of this family. The airline is going to replace all A320 family aircrafts with neo liners”, Vladimir Objedkov, S7 Airlines General Director, noted.

A320neo models are improved models of A320 family liners (A319neo, A320neo, A321neo). These high performance aircrafts are equipped with up-to-date engines and new wingtip devices Sharklets, which provides for reduction of fuel consumption by 15% comparing with modern Airbus A320ceo liners.

Programmes aimed at optimization of cabin interior helped to increase the aircraft capacity of А320neo, at the same time preserving a high level of comfort.  

А320neo is the most low-noise liner in its class. The level of external noise of A320neo is 19 dB lower comparing with requirements of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)¹.  In addition А320neo sound trace area at the moment of takeoff is 50% less comparing with А320ceo. This will help to reduce noise pollution, which is important for citizens leaving not far from airports.

Lower noise level is a result of improvement of aerodynamic characteristics (Sharklets), installation of new engines with ventilators of a larger diameter, and new design fans, improved technology of manufacturing of engine nacelle with nearly jointless assembly.
