Open Joint Stock Company Ilyushin Aviation Complex visited finalists of the 13th International Olympiad on the aviation history, named by Mozhaiskyi A. F., commemorated to 110-year of the 1st public flight of the aircraft in Europe.
Talented children were met by Genrich Vasilievich Novozhilov, honorary General Designer of Open Joint Stock Company Ilyushin Aviation Complex, RAS academician, 2 Hero of Socialist Labor, juror and Olympiad organization committee participant. He pronounced parting words and presented magazines with his autograph.
Excursion participants in the museum got acquainted with the history of creation of legendary Il aircrafts. Also he demonstrated modern projects and structural tests laboratory complex.
The event was organized during all-Russian action «A week without gates» in the framework of high-profile Union of Russian Engineering project «Work in Russia!» during the action at the industrial enterprises, where at common days the access is closed for the foreign visitors, not only gates are removed, but also excursions are organized and all visitors are allowed to enter closed museums.
