Russian Aviaton » Friday April 22, 2016 19:36 MSK

Young pilots of Mi-24P and Mi-8MT helicopters of the Russian military base in Armenia have started piloting in mountains for the first time.

Flights are conducted near Kamhud and Alagyaz ranges under supervision of the experienced pilots-instructors of the base at daytime.

These are the first flights to the ranges of the Russian military base for the pilots. The pilots had practiced operating the helicopters over Erebuni airfield.

Crews of Mi-24P and Mi-8MT helicopters practice covering motorized rifle units from the air and engage ground targets independently, in pairs and wings from different altitudes.
